In Castellamare we use the highest quality materials to make your adventure last. We have prepared this guide to help you keep your products in perfect conditions.
Over time, Pollutants, dust, perspiration, perfumes and other natural elements can make your gold jewelry appear dull. Because of this, it is always good practice to wipe down your jewelry with a cotton cloth after wear.
Additionally, jewelry should be professionally cleaned and inspected once a year. Below are some tips for keeping your pieces clean and shiny.
To clean gold and silver jewelry, dilute dish detergent in a small bowl of warm water and soak each piece for a 3-5 mins. Gently clean your item by using a clean cotton cloth. To ensure you removed all the diluted dish soap, rinse your jewelry under warm running water, and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Be sure to dry your jewelry completely before wearing again.
We use a variety buckles and charms, which include 14K Solid Gold, Sterling Silver, Gold Dust alloy, Stainless Steel, among others. All parts could wear out over time and may experience tone variations due to oxidation. This is due to many factors including: improper cleaning, storage, humidity, when rubbing or scraping against hard surfaces, body ph levels, sweat, etc.
Clean your Castellamare pieces often with a soft jewelry cloth to remove oils and air pollutants.
Use polishing cloths for jewelry to get better results on metals. The use of rough, tough or thick fabrics, as well as paper towels can cause scratches.
Use warm water and mild soap to clean your pieces. The use of warm water is the best option for cleaning since hot water can cause reaction with cleaning products and cause discoloration. Do not use detergents, bleaches, sodium bicarbonate or ammonia cleaners.
For all bracelets (except leather), in case of wetting in salt water, or pools with chlorine, it is recommended to rinse afterwards with fresh water.
Leather products should not be in contact with water under any circumstances. This voids warranty.
We recommend storing your products in the original packaging that includes each piece or in a similar way so that they are not damaged by other jewelry or items.
